Huelor is provided by 北京与众星辰文化传媒有限公司 (“Withestars,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how the Huelor iOS app handles data.

Overview

Huelor analyzes color on your device and does not require an account. Camera frames, color readings, temporary History records, and device-motion data are processed on your device. Huelor does not upload this data to our servers or third-party servers. We do not operate a Huelor user-data server that receives or stores this content.

When you choose to save a capture, copy color text, or send a support email, the relevant content is handled as described below.

Camera

Huelor requests camera access for live previews, center color readings, palettes, Field view, and captures. Camera frames are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us.

Live previews do not automatically create a photo or video history. Huelor saves an image only when you choose to create and save a capture. Pressing “+” in Direct records a color without also saving a source photo or video.

Device Motion

Huelor uses device-motion measurements to determine whether the phone is moving and to help stabilize the center color reading. These measurements are processed on your device, are not retained as a motion history, and are not uploaded to us or third parties.

Photos

When you choose to save a capture and have not yet made a photo-permission choice, Huelor requests permission to add images to your system photo library. This permission is used only to save the image you requested. Huelor does not read, browse, or enumerate your existing photos or retrieve their metadata.

Saved captures are managed through the system Photos app. If you enable iCloud Photos or another photo-backup service, that service may sync or back up these images according to your settings. This is separate from Huelor uploading or syncing History.

Data Collection

We do not use Huelor to collect personal details, product analytics, usage activity, device identifiers, or diagnostic logs. The app does not use advertising or tracking technologies or track you across apps or websites.

Huelor does not upload camera images, captures, color readings, palettes, History records, or device-motion data to our servers or third-party servers. User-initiated exports and email contact are described separately below.

Data Stored on Your Device

When you press “+” in Direct, Huelor temporarily retains that color value and the internal information needed to display and manage the record in on-device memory. History displays a color swatch, a color name or description generated under your current settings, and a HEX or RGB value. It contains only colors you deliberately record, not an automatic log of every live reading. Source photos, videos, and capture locations are not attached to these records.

History currently retains up to the latest 1,000 records, with the newest first. Once this limit is reached, each successful addition removes the oldest record.

History exists only in the memory of the current app process. It is not written to a persistent history file or database, uploaded, or synced to iCloud by Huelor. Huelor does not proactively clear it when you close History, switch modes, briefly switch to another app, or lock your device. However, continued retention depends on the app process remaining alive. If the process ends because you terminate the app, the system terminates it, or an error occurs, those records will not be restored on the next launch.

Huelor stores app preferences on your device to remember choices such as color-description richness and numeric display format. These settings are handled separately from temporary History. They do not make color history persistent across app processes and are not uploaded to us as usage analytics.

Copying and the System Clipboard

When you choose to copy a record or use Copy All, Huelor writes the corresponding color text to the system clipboard. The copied text follows your current description and value-format settings. When descriptions are turned off, only the color values are copied.

Copied content is managed by the system clipboard. Where available and enabled, Apple’s Universal Clipboard may make it available on your other devices. Content you paste or share with another app or service is handled under that app’s or service’s rules. Huelor does not route copied content through its own servers.

Third-party Services

Huelor does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, crash-reporting, cloud-sync, or remote data-processing services. The Geist Mono font is bundled with the app as a local resource rather than loaded through an online font service.

The system photo library, iCloud Photos, the system clipboard, and other Apple system services are provided by Apple under the relevant rules and your settings. Their operation is distinct from Huelor uploading or storing user data itself.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual records in History or use Clear All to remove the current records. Capacity-based removal and the lack of recovery after the app process ends are explained in the History section above. We do not receive or store these History records and cannot restore them for you from a server.

Deleting or clearing History does not delete captures you have already saved to your system photo library or retract content already pasted or shared with other apps. Copies on the clipboard are managed by the system.

Deleting Huelor from your device removes the app and its app-local data. Previously saved captures and content exported to other apps or services are not automatically deleted when Huelor is deleted; manage them separately in their respective locations.

Your Choices

You can manage Huelor’s Camera, Motion, and Photos permissions in iOS Settings. Disabling camera access prevents live color features from operating. Disabling permission to add photos prevents the app from saving captures to your system photo library.

You decide whether to press “+” to record a color, copy text, save a capture, or delete History records.

Contacting Us

If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and the message, attachments, and other information you choose to provide. We use this information only to respond to and handle your request. You initiate this communication, which is separate from the app’s on-device color processing and temporary History.

Changes to This Policy

If Huelor’s features or data-handling practices change, we will update this policy accordingly and identify the new effective date.
